The facebook Phenomenon

Do not forget to post a link to your website or blog on your social network profiles. If someone hears about your products on a social network, they will need to have access to more information and see what you use as a storefront before they can decide to buy anything. Try to obtain a Twitter handle that is very close to your business name or brand name. Avoid handles like Jane7592 because nobody will remember you.. You want your name, and your brand, to be remembered so that consumers will look for it when they are shopping online or at the store.

Both Sohaib Athar (@ReallyVirtual on Twitter) and Mocsin Shah http://fashionscollective.com/FashionAndLuxury/01/5-things-to-know-about-marketing-in-china/ (@m0hcin on Twitter) were Tweeting away as helicopters flew overhead, in addition to other events, not knowing they were live-blogging the events via the microblogging site Twitter. Admittedly, I didn’t jump on the Twitter bandwagon immediately. Or look at it from a customer or client survey point of view.

How much more effective would your sales or lead generation process be if you could generate user feedback in almost real-time? This type of feedback can both make and save your company untold amounts of money. All of this comes on the heels of the news that Georgia player Jeff Owens’ started a blog. As technology expands, fans are getting access to their favorite teams via other methods than the traditional newspapers. It is a constant process, though; we have to move, change and adapt to our clients needs.

Without the wonderful team I have, I am confident I would not have come to this realization. With that said, here is my opinion on how and what is needed for any business to succeed. In real estate you depend on a certain amount of networking to gain new clients and to become successful. Twitter allows you to connect with a wide range of individuals from all walks of life. As an agent you could use this ability to share your listings with others, promote yourself and your agency and more importantly meet new potential clients.
